THE FREYA METHOD

Privacy notice

Last updated 4 November 2026

The Freya Method Ltd (“we”, “I”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of coaching. This notice explains what I collect, why, and your rights. I take confidentiality seriously; it is the foundation of the work.

What I collect

Why I use it

Who I share it with

I do not sell or share your information for marketing. I use a small number of trusted service providers to run the practice, each bound by their own privacy and security commitments: Calendly (booking), Google Workspace (email and calendar), Google Meet (video sessions) and Netlify (website hosting). Some of these providers process data outside the UK under recognised safeguards. I will not disclose what you tell me to anyone else except where the law requires it, or where I believe someone is at serious risk of harm.

Confidentiality and legal privilege

What you tell me stays between us. Coaching conversations are not covered by legal professional privilege in the way conversations with your solicitor are. Anything you would want to remain privileged should be discussed with your solicitor.

How long I keep it

Session notes and booking records are kept for six years after our last contact, in line with professional practice and the limitation period for contractual claims, then securely deleted. Enquiry emails that do not lead to coaching are deleted after twelve months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how I use it, and ask for a copy in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email freya@thefreyamethod.com. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
